This weekend has been well spent. The weather has suddenly become milder, or at least, comparatively so, and it is wonderful to spend time outdoors. Pablo and Jack would agree.
The pond at the park is still semi frozen but we watched a chocolate lab take a plunge and his owner declared it "the first swim of the season for him." We walked the trails and kept Jack on leash because we don't trust him yet. Pablo was delighted to weave back and forth through the trees, and also to greet many other dogs. I let Jackie go at one point, and as would be predicted, he set off in his own pursuits.
I also spent a lot of time in craft stores this weekend. I went to Ben Franklin and purchased some really nice fabric. I used one of the fabrics which is polished cotton (and Scotchguarded I believe) to make a tablecloth. With the other fabric, I am going to attempt to make a skirt for JS. Additionally, I went to two yarns stores, just to examine the wares. I like to see what other women are buying and what they are planning to sew or knit.
With daylight savings and warmer weather, I feel optimistic about most everything.
