After two months of almost no sunshine, the weather brightened for this holiday weekend. Everyone converged on home for a brief respite from work and studies. As always, the time flew too quickly but it was wonderful while it lasted.
Pablo is a recipient of much love and attention from everybody during these visits. He is so happy to see his kids and spends his time going from one person to another. He wore his traditional lei for a few minutes, and then raised his paw and slashed at it. We were encouraged by Miss NB to wear decorations in our hair.
Whenever JM is around, the food is always creative and delicious. We had a traditional barbeque one evening and then a variation of tex-mex on July 4. We still have lots of food and beer. We had a nice run on Saturday but I have fallen to the back of the pack. JSGN was so nice to stay behind and walk intermittently with me. I do have high hopes for regaining my stamina.
Jackie works hard at coping with all the activity and managed not to even come close to biting anybody. He is beginning to smile and that is a terrifying look for him.
It's hard for a mom to say goodbye to her children but I know that everyone is off to do important work. We'll all meet up with each other soon.
