This is the most dazzling series by Ken Burns, both photographically and historically. I've been watching it on my computer and it's transporting. Each segment is long but can be watched on the installment plan.
I took an unexpected walk with an old friend this evening. She is a true New Englander who enjoys the brisker weather. My nose ran continuously and I kept bumping into her. She was reminded that I am a wayward walker. She spoke of her new grandson, among several extraordinary topics, and how he seems to possess a little recognizable piece of each of his forebears. Seeing the National Parks makes me feel this way too.
